The end of the semester!!!

Guys can you imaginee??? classes are over!!!! loool time passes so fast! I can't believe we already finish our classes. I just wanted to tell you all that it was a pleasure to meet you!!! you are wonderful people, each one with your special recognition (you know what I mean lol) thank you so much for sharing your friendship with me I would never forget you!!! I know some of you are leaving :( but please lets get in touch ok??? I don't like to lose friends specially friends like you. Also, dont forget that if someday you need help with anything don't hestitate, call me send me a message, etc I would be glad to help you!. And finally guys if your ever want to come to Bolivia you already have a house to stay.

The best concert of my life "SOULJA BOY"

Guyss!!!! I cant believe I saw soulja boy!!! I'm soooooo happy!!! I was waiting for that day like forever!!! huhuhuh I went there with my roomy Mariam! we went there since 3pm lol we ate, went to the internet for a bit and then we went to the concert just to be in first line hauahuahau, when we arrived there there were almost nobody!!! It was soo good!!! I was touching the stagee lol. But after it became full and when the girls said here's soulja boy all the girls became to run through the stage , but no way they were coming before me no way!!! I run too!! as fast as I could and luckylly I got the third line :) I was sooo closee. When he came to stage we screamed soooo hard I couldnt here mysefl!!! he started singing and the electicity went out!!! so he went out the stage and we had to wait 30min more!!!! but all was worthed!!!. He came again and started singing new songs, we were dancing screaming I was taking so much pictures and recording videos you can see all in my facebook I have 15 jejejejejejj.

In one of his songs he throw water!!! and I was likee nooo mi cameraaaa but nothing happened, this make the crown more excited!! including me of course ahuahauhau I recieved punches in my face I almost lost my shoe!!! ahuahau and when he throw money I saw the bills coming through my face!!! but all the people came over me!!! I almost fell and lost my camera!! but I was like a rock I guess I was so excited that I became like hulk hauahauha nothing could bit me hauahauhau. I grabbed just half 20$ that sucks I know but hey!! at least soulja boy touch it loooooool. in conclusion guys I am sooo extremly happy because I love hip hop I loveee soulja boy and because this is sooo new and big for me cause as you know my country is very small in music business nobody famous goes to my country so I feel soooo lucky to be here I just dont want to go back!!!!!! enjoy my pic!!!!!

Reggeaton Music!!

Well guys I love music as you can see loool and I would like to shar with you some of the music that we listen in my country, some of them maybe you already know, if not I will suggest you to listen to those songs.

First Im going to start with how and where reggeaton music was originated. Most of the people thing that "Puerto Rico" is the country where reggeaton music was firts made, but what people don't know is that "Panama" is the country where this kind of music was originated. It is true that "Puerto Rico" has most of the reggetoneros ( reggeaton singers).

It is a form of urban music that became popular with Latin American youth in the early 1990s. In 2004, it spread to North American, European and Asian audiences. Its music influences are reggae and dancehall with those of Latin America, such as bomba, plena, salsa, merengue, latin pop, cumbia and bachata as well as that of hip hop, contemporary R&B, and electronica. Reggaeton is also combined with rapping or singing in Spanish. The influence of this genre has spread to the wider Latino communities in the United States, as well as the Latin American audience. This is why many people that live here know about this kind of music.

The most famous "reggetoneros" are Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel, Alexis y Fido, Rakim u Ken-Y, Don Omar and pitbull (he sings mostly in spanglish)

Also, the dance steps are very dificult you have to be very flexible to dance reggeaton, of course if you are on a party you can dance as you want but the real reggeaton dance is very dificult and some the typical clothing is very short skirts and tops, because is a very sexy dance.

" La Rinconada" a beautiful place in Santa Cruz,Bolivia

La Rinconada (which literally means “haven” or “retreat”) is such an amazing, hidden piece of paradise just outside of Santa Cruz it is called it Bolivia’s Garden of Eden, you will see why when you'll see the pictures.

Tucked into a corner of the jungle just 6 miles from downtown, it is so idyllic and peaceful you’d never know you were just 15 minutes away from a city of 1.6 million. Across the Piraí River, around the Colinas del Urubó bend ( this is where I live), through a small elite neighborhood. It is also a restaurant where you can also enjoy the tasty bolivian famous dishes, besides the colorful different salads of the buffe, that also include delicious desserts caramelized flan, cakes, enormous colorful fruit salad,cunapes, empanadas. The place is unique, you can see colors everywhere, trees, exotic flowers, pieces of art that decorate the beautiful gardens, etc.

This place is so popular that last year they made pools and play spaces for kids, that are in the shape of animal, so the landscape looks like the jungle.

The famous anacondas in Bolivia

First guys I''ll tell you that Bolivia has different cities with different weather, people, etc.

It is divided by the tropical side and the dry side where are the mountains.

Anacondas are typically found in the tropical side of the following the cities: Beni, Pando and Santa Cruz.

Recently, scientits have found the largest anaconda ever found in Bolivia between La Paz and Beni (cities of Bolivia) in a small town called " Rurrenabaque". It is a very large anaconda, that measures about 16 meters long, and has a body width of 2 meters approximately, and an approximate weight of 4 tons!!!1 incredible huh?

Sadly, many anacondas that are found in my country are bad treated and as a consecuence they die, therefore people that find anacondas are told to keep the anaconda alive so experience people can handle the capture better.

Buñuelos, api and empanadas Bolivianas

I loooove this kind of food from my country, thats why I would like to share it with you guys I hope you like it!!!

Well to beging with, this kind of food its typically eaten in breakfast or dinner with "Api" instead of milk or tea.

Firstly, "Api" its made with purple corn and some other spices like cinammon, limon,etc. You find also the yelow api, that is made with different kind of fruits instead of corn. it is sooo tasty and delicious!!! and it is even more delicious with Buñuelos or "empanadas" ( I will show you some pictures) this both are made with fluor, sugar, royal, honey, etc. and when they're done you can eat them with more honey and of course with api.

you can see the first image above (left side).. in the left side you can see the "api" (in this pic this api is mixed with the yelow and the purple apis). On the other side (right of the same image) you can see the "Buñuelos" with honey on the top, usually the they're bigger waay to bigger.

and on the other image (left side) you can see the "empanadas" made with cheese, other with ham, meat,etc.

I love hip hop and rap music!!!

I started liking this kind of music when my sister came to Bolivia from here (mississippi) two years ago. In that time I liked it but not like my favorite.
I remember when she put some of her ipod's music and I was like ohh I like that song!! and she said: I have a lot of songs like this one, and she started playing all.
Since then everytime we went out in the car we always put hip hop, lile lil wayne, T.I, Soldier boy, ludacris, T-pain, Ne Yo, etc. Actually one of my favorite songs is lollipop dont read the lyrics cause they're not good lool but anyways I dont know why but hip hop and rap because my favorite style of music since then, my father hates that music ahuahuahau because he says that the lyrics make no sense at all, but I dont care I like it lol.
Also, now I really like the song "mad" of Ne Yo, "kiss me thru the phone" by soldier boy, "I'm so paid" By Akon and "donk" by soldier boy.

Mardi Gras

I would like to talk about my experience in New Orleans; I loooved this trip. We went all latin people, I was soo happy cause I was with my sister so I felt more secure by her side.
I stayed in a motel with my sister and 4 people more, qnd we had only 2 beds so we were kind of uncomfortabe, besides the the are was like the ¨ hood¨ very dangerous zone, it was the only hotel we found so we had to be very carful. Anyways, we went out as soon as we arrived, that night was sooo fun!!! we went to a pizza restaurant because it was playing latin music like salsa, merengue, etc. We danced like crazy that night, people from outside saw us dancing and came from all over the place, they were kind of weird people huahauah but it was fun!!

On the other hand, on saturday we didnt have a great time like the day before because they were a lot of drunk people and it became dangerous, besides, it was raining and it was cold.
but in the morning we went to the parade and grabed a looooooot of necklases, we have now like 500 necklases al least, that day we had 4 bags full of necklases, balls, cups, boas, etc. we had sooo much and tha bags were so heavy that we had to left them in a friend's hotel so we could go partying.

I am really looking forward to the next year for mardi gras cause I really had a great time, even tough I hate to travel by car specially 5 hours, it really worthed because I enjoyed every second of it.

My Grandpa

His name was Jorge Pareja Ayo, he died last year on april 2008.
why do I want to write about him? well specially today I've been thinking about him, about how much I miss him. Since I was little, he was such a wonderful grandpa, whenever we went out I remember that he always bought to me everything my eyes saw ahuahau and after my father always got mad when I went back home with so many toys :). I loved to go to his house, he was so sweet and nice with my sister and I.
But sadly years after he move to another city in Bolivia so we had to travel 6 hours to see him, and whenever we went I felt so sad because he lived alone, I mean he was independent but I tought he was too lonely. Years after, he moved again but fortunately my family moved too so we were all together again!! in a tropical place another city in Bolivia. Since then we always had sunday family lunchs, and he was always there, his favorite food was chinesse specially sweet like sweet pork and rice, I love sweet food like him so we have something in common.
But in 2007 he started to become different, he was too tired to read the newspaper every morning, something that years before didnt miss at all. Moreover, he wanted to be more lonely and he fell constantly.
In 2008 he was worst, he fell more constantly and he wasnt as excited and happy as before. I remember my dad telling me that we should be preparing for the worst, but I wasnt ready yet because I was never used to this. I wanted my grandpa to live for ever specially I wanted him to be like before.
But the day came and one week before we knew that this was gonna happen anytime and anyday,he got sick and he was in the hospital. I was so sad cause I knew my grandpa hated doctors and hospitals and medicines. The day after we went back home something horrible happened, when my grandpa wanted to go to the bathroom he and my grandma fell and my grandpa hurt his head, what could be worst? when I found out that I just cry cause even tough he was sick, weak, unhappy he ha suffered more pain.
So the next day I went to his house, actually he was looking good, I was happy!!! he was still in his bed of course he couldnt move so much so he took him outside in the garding his favorite place to relax, every morning he went there to breath some fresh air and to se the colorfull birds that came to his house. but the next day he was bad again, he didnt want to move to even go outside, so I went to his house again to take care of him and to be with him all the time cause I knew what was going to happen. That day thanks god, I had the chance to tell him everything I wanted to tell him and I cant take his eyes from my head, the way he looked at me when I was talking to him, the way he tried to tell me something, but he was to weak. The next day at 3 in the morning my aunt called, and told us that he was gone... that night I felt like if someone was graving me like hugging me, I couldnt move for a while even tough I was awake I dont know why, I think it was my grandpa trying to say goodbye to me..... now he's an angel, my angel for ever..

Priscila is gone!!!!!! :(

Guys qs you know our dear friend pri is gone!!!! she's leaving on tuesday but actually today she went to jackson where his brother lives.
Yesteday we were together on my sister's house and I realized how much Im gonna miss her, she is such a wonderful person!!!
Even tough she promised me that she's coming back on july I feel sooo sad cause I was with here almost everyday and know Im gonna feel incomplete without her :( I loveee my friends and when someone goes I feel that my heart is without a piece.
Moreover, we used to go out every weekend!!! we were always together at the parties and we had such a great time because we both love to dance and partying looool so guys if you want to have fun on a party remember to call me and hernan ahauhauhauaha
ok back to the topic, guyss what Im gonna do Im sooo sad can you give me some advice so I wont feel like this? have you ever lost a friend?

story

Everytime when I feel tired and I can't sleep I always turn on my radio and listen to music, or the TV to see if there's a good movie or something that can make me feel tire so I can sleep.
Also, when I was in Bolivia I used to read books that really made me feel sleepy but here my neighbors (sorry if I wrote ir wrong jejej) are sooo noisy that I can't concentrate when reading a book, so I rather turn on the TV or the radio as I said.
I think that music, more than TV it's a better way to sleep because it makes me relax and most of the time I dream good.

Moreover, I remember when I was little I had a very imaginary life, it's sounds silly but I was always thinking about monsters and things that made me feel scared and when I felt that way I run to my sister's bed, of course she always got mad because she called me a chicken but you know? at night I did care because I was sooo scare, but the next day I felt so bad!! because she was right I was a chicken and she was so strong that I felt like a baby next to her lol. But now whenever I remember those days I laugh for hours with my sister.

Today

Today was a very tired day, I woke up very early even tough I knew I had classes late, mostly because of my roomate.I was really tired all day long, I guess because I went to bed very lqte the night before, because of homework, also because the girls next door are very noise so I couldnt sleep well.Even though I was tired I could do the toefl test practice really good, I dont know how I got the energy to do it but the results were really good and that made me feel better.After that class I had reading and again I felt reallly tired, I star to open my eyes so big so I wont fall asleep on the table. The good thing is that I wasnt the only one, there were two or three like me on the classroom so I wont feel that bad.I would have to do something in order to have more energy while going to my classes any advice?

My best friend

My best friendSome people find friends easy, friends are everywhere, they could be your classmates as well as your neighbors. But the thing is that Best friends are not always everywhere, this kind of friends are very hard to find, because you have to get to know the person and find in her or him that special thing that makes this person become your best friend.I was one of the lucky ones, I have found the best friend in the entire universe, her name is Natalia, we have ,et since I moved to Santa Cruz Bolivia 5 years ago. We have been friends since the first day of school, I was very shy and she was the one who come to talk to me, and since that day I realized she was the one, the one who was going to be my best friend.Even tough we are not together anymore because she lives in argentina and I am here at the USA our friendship is always there, I mean it becomes stronger every day. what I live the most about her, is that she is different from the rest, we are like twins, we like almost the same things and therefore we love to be together cause she knows what I like and I know what she likes, and because of that we hardly ever fighrt, she would be the one for ever......

My sister

My sisterHer name is Rebeca, shes 20 years old and she is studying psychology at The University of Mississippi.She is the best sister in the world, sometimes we fight almost all the time but at the end we get closer and closer. She has q totally different personality than me, for example she is not sentimental like me, she is stronger in many situations, way stronger than me, sometimes for her personality we fight more. Our differences made us closer sisters, even tough some people say that we are not to close, we all the time share many problems and help us each other.She is my support, my confident ans the most impotant she is my best friend

My passion

I will talk about my favorite thing in the world, music. Everybody has dreams and goals in life, people always compete to get what they want and getting it makes you feel extremetly good as I feel when I sing.My passion is singing, maybe a lot of you know but maybe some dont know, since I was little I always enjoy singing everywhere, anywhere, anytime. Singing became more serious as years past, as I was growing up singing made me realized that maybe this was my speciallity.After realizing that this was my passion, I started to compose songs, this helped me and still helps me relaxing in a way that I have never done before. Composing songs by writing my feelings and dreams makes me feel especial and when I sing my song I feel even better because I say THIS IS MY SONG!! and it sounds pretty good!! I did it!! sounds kind of silly but I love this feeling, my music and I am ready to learn more about music in the university ,that is why I have chosen Music Performance as a major, because I feel conected with music and everything that comes with it.....

Hamburgers

Why do we love hamburgers:Have you ever ask yourself why you love to eat hamburguers and french fries?? maybe because its cheaper, faster, or just because you looove to eat it.Many people become obese for this deliciousness and sadly this food its becoming less healthy every day moreI mean doctors are right, this kind of food its not healthy at all, we should eat more vegetables and fruits instead of hamburguers, pizza, mexican food, etc. But on the other hand, do you think we can resists this delicious, big, teasty hamburguer with extra cheese and french fries that makes our stomache happy? what do you think we should do in order to eat this kind of food and at the same time stay healthy?

What girls like

Well there are many things that girls like. We like to be love, to be respect, boys that make us laugh no matter what they do, also we love to be the center of attetion when we have boyfriends.but of course there are many things that we hate also like for example someone that lies or a boyfriend that cheat on us and other many stuff more. My weekend

hello everybody:
well I had a great weekend , it was pretty fun because we had a small group of people dancing and getting to know themselves because we were all international and some of us new students so we were able to know other cultures countries,etc and also make new friends.Besides that day I was really happy to be with my sister because she is amazing!!! we went shopping yesterday we were so sad to go to claires because its our fav store and its going to closeeee so we are pretty sad, well we cant do anything about it so we enjoyed the las claires shopping in oxford aauahuah.well I just wanted to say that everyday Im here is everyday of more fun and happiness for me because I love to be here and make new awsome friends!!xoxo cami
